Welcome to accobraera427.fr, a website entirely dedicated to the world of AC Cobra, and more specifically to models equipped with the legendary Ford 427 FE Side Oiler.

My name is Alexandre, and I have been passionate about American sports cars for many years.

I created this site to share my research, technical knowledge, and personal experience regarding Cobra replicas—their mechanics, maintenance, and the best ways to choose a good model.

I am neither a seller nor a professional—I am first and foremost a demanding enthusiast.

I spend a great deal of time studying:

• the differences between the 289, 427, and 428 FE

• the specific characteristics of the 427 Side Oiler

• Top Loader gearboxes

• ERA configurations

• reliable engine upgrades (ignition, cooling, carburation, etc.)

This site exists because I wish I had found clear, precise, and reliable content when I first became interested in these cars.

The only existing content—very approximate and completely outdated—comes from a Cobra club website.

So I created it.
